Launched on 8th July 2025, the service will provide a range of support options tailored for adults who are currently inactive:
Group-based sport or movement activities (e.g. football, dance, yoga, walking groups, netball) held in community venues across Hampshire, designed to encourage sustained participation.
Available online or in-person for those with specific needs.
Online group sessions and flexible digital tools for those unable or unwilling to attend in-person.
All participants also receive access to our website with articles on behaviour change, a downloadable habit tracker to monitor movement, mood and nutrition, and a bespoke recipe book featuring healthy, family-friendly meals.
As with all their programmes, Thrive Tribe aims to bring an innovative, client-centred behaviour change approach to Hampshire to deliver successful physical activity and healthy lifestyle outcomes for clients.
“Being physically active is one of the best things we can do to improve health and wellbeing. The benefits include, reduced risk of preventable diseases such as cardiovascular disease and diabetes, better mental wellbeing, support to maintain a healthy weight, and maintenance of strength and balance. We also know that physical activity related inequalities exist across Hampshire, and some people find it hard to get started. With this in mind, we are pleased to launch Be Active Hampshire, which has been developed with communities in Hampshire to provide accessible and appealing opportunities to move more and maintain an active lifestyle”
“We’re proud to be launching a new community-focused programme to help residents across Hampshire become more active and improve their long-term health. Be Active Hampshire will be delivered from accessible venues across the county, shaped by local insight and co-designed with communities. This is a fantastic opportunity to build on local strengths, reduce inequalities, and help people find movement that works for them.”
Health, care and community professionals are invited to join one of our launch webinars to learn more about referral pathways, eligibility and support options.
