Clinical and Quality Team Update

As many of you will know Amanda is going off on maternity leave (starting 16th December!!) and Katie Ferrett and Naomi Adams will be covering her role whilst she is away. Naomi will be working 2 days per week on Monday and Tuesday and Katie three days per week (days to be confirmed very soon). To help you know who to go to for the different aspects of Amanda’s role here is a little breakdown:

  • Stop smoking observations – Naomi
  • Health Advisors / Health Coach observations – Katie
  • Point of care (EQA / IQC) – Katie
  • Training – Katie and Naomi
  • Calibrations (BP / Scales) - Katie
  • Role specific training / Forums – Katie

Although Katie is taking the lead on many of these areas, Naomi will be supporting and both will be working closely together to ensure everything is covered.

New! Learning Forums

We are launching a programme of Learning Forums, open to everyone in the organisation. This will include a mix of short webinars and podcasts on a range of topics, such as long-term health conditions, work place health, public health topics etc. These will be streamed on a Thursday morning and also available to play back if staff can’t join at the time and kept in an online library for staff to access at any time. If anyone has any ideas for topics or would like to be involved in presenting one of these, just get in touch with Jackie, Karen or Katie Ferrett. More info on this to follow soon.

New! Peer Reflection and Clinical Supervision

We are also rolling out a programme of Peer Reflection and Clinical Supervision across Thrive Tribe. This is an opportunity for staff to reflect on their practice, develop their skills, and experience feedback and guidance in a compassionate and safe forum. This is also a really great way to develop resilience and support wellbeing at work. Groups will be run once a month on Thursday mornings within each service, with a trained peer reflection facilitator to guide the groups through the sessions. Most of you will have now received the introductory session on this. We will be putting on a train the trainer course early in the new year for peer reflection facilitators, so if you would be interested in becoming a peer reflection facilitator to lead one of these groups in your service, please get in touch with either Jackie or Katie Ferrett.
