We’re in another lockdown and Christmas and New Year are just around the corner, so it’s a good time to think about how we’re using alcohol.
For most people, a drink or two (or three!) can be part of a healthy balanced lifestyle, but it’s always helpful to be aware of the reasons why we,or those around us are drinking. There’s a complex relationship between alcohol and mental wellbeing, and drinking can become an unhelpful coping mechanism for managing symptoms of mental ill-health, exacerbating the symptoms long-term.
This week is Alcohol Awareness week, test your knowledge using Alcohol UK’s quiz here, and find out more about the link between drink and wellbeing here. Please get in touch if you want directing towards further support.
